I think the past outbreak of teenage suicides caused from excessive bullying reminds many of us of our challenging times as a teen. This story is very real, and really hit me in the gut. Now, when I hear any politician, religious group, or individual that takes a strong stance against LGBT persons, or anyone person of difference, I can't help but want to blame them for these deaths. For it is these strong opinions of these people that divide us, feeding hate speech and creating situations that cause pain and confusion leading to segregation and loneliness. For those of us young and growing up, this is a lot to deal with, I myself in my formative years witnessed a similar kind of treatment, and if it not been for my loving mother I doubt that I would have come to relies later in life that it does get better—a lot better.

Be your authentic self. Your authentic self is who you are when you have no fear of judgment. Play to your strengths and know what you are good at. Give yourself permission to be who you are. Don't loose your childlike enthusiasm and share it with the world.
